Pictures

I can hold my rattle in my hand really well now!  (And I typically don't smack myself in the head with it either anymore!)

Life is hard....

Yikes!  Lexi just scared me!

Hey Mom...

Daddy is sooo funny!

I'm really into touching people's faces...not sure why...

Zoo Trip!

On Monday, Mady and I met our good friends Dana and little Markie at the zoo.  It was Mady's first time going to the zoo!

Here we are, ready to go!

This was pretty much the only time she was awake...we were standing by the flamingos waiting for Dana and Marky and those silly birds were so loud!  It was feeding time.
Here are Markie and Mady by the gorillas.
Apparently Mady does not find them interesting:-)  And to be honest, they were kind of boring that day anyway.
Markie is such a cutie!  He is 6 weeks younger than Mady.  I love his head of hair!
Isn't he adorable?
Dana and I laugh all the time how different our children are...Markie is a short little man that likes to keep his legs tucked up like a frog.  Then there's this chica...

who likes to take up as much space as she can with those long legs and arms of hers!
Finally, after visiting most of the animals, we made our way over to the penguins.  Mady decided to wake up at this point but she wasn't too happy about it.

I can only imagine what this look will be like when she's 13....yikes!
We had a wonderful day together at the zoo!   Mady and Markie were so good with no crying or fussing!  We topped our day off by going to TGI Fridays.
Dana and Markie, we look forward to our next fun day with you guys!

Happy Birthday Lexi!

On Saturday, Lexi turned 3 years old!  She is such a special part of our family.  This was also a special day for us because one year ago, I found out I was pregnant with our wonderful sweet baby girl.  We celebrated Lexi's birthday by getting her this...
Yes, that is a gigantic bone and she LOVES it!  Lexi is so good with Mady.  It puts my mind at ease having a dog that I have to get on to for licking Mady's face instead of one that is aggressive and dangerous.  She also is so patient when Mady kicks her in the face or does this...

Even though at times Lexi acts like a spoiled toddler and demands my attention all the time, I still love her very much.  She is a huge part of our family!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

What?!?!  You want me to take my fist out of my mouth for a smile?

Oh my...it's St. Patty's day already?

Ok fine...I'll give you a half smile....

Things I like to do lately...

Hang out in the garage with dad!
Kick the dog..literally.
Suck on my fist...it tastes really good!
I don't look too excited in this picture but I do like baths now...except the getting out part because it's WAY TOO COLD!
Sleep...I have become a really good sleeper lately.
Look cute with my big blue eyes...Mom's going to have a hard time resisting these babies in a few years:-)

3 Months! (A little late...)

2 weeks ago, Mady girl turned 3 months!  Since then, we have been very busy with a visit to Mimi and Papa's house in Oklahoma.  I have a lot of posts in mind so you can expect several updates this week.  However, here is Mady girl's 3 month photo shoot.  She was very serious during this time so I couldn't catch many smiles....
 Stats:
Weight:  10lb 6 oz (5-10 Percentile according to Babycenter.com)
Length:  at least 24 inches
(I've got a LONG skinny girl on my hands!)

Mady has been growing, growing, growing!  We've made HUGE progress with eating over the last few weeks which is such an answer to prayer.  Mady has also been sleeping through the night!  This makes mommy VERY happy:-)  She is a very happy little girl that loves to smile.  She is interacting more with her toys.  When we were down in Oklahoma last week, her Great Mimi (my grandma) gave her a stuffed lady bug.  She loves it!  She reaches out and touches it and smiles at it all the time.  Tummy time is getting better but Mady still hates it.  I can't blame her though because lifting that head is hard work!  We are meeting with a physical therapist now to get Mady girl's neck stronger and she has made HUGE gains the last few weeks. She is such a joy in our lives and everyday we're so thankful for her!!
